ENKA, in line with its sustainability strategy and goals, continues its efforts to make greater use of renewable energy and to increase its investments in renewable energy in its own facilities.
In 2023, Çimtaş Group has taken an important initiative by generating a total of 11,227 MWh of electricity from renewable energy sources. This total amount corresponds to 21.6% of total electricty consumption of the Çimtaş Group. Consequently, Çimtaş Group avoided 5,400 tCO2e in total Scope 2 emissions in 2023.
The plant at ENKA Kocaeli Schools, which was ENKA’s first investment in solar energy, produced a total of 84,825 kWh of solar power in 2023, meeting approximately 28% of the school’s annual electricity consumption.
